Just released and already approachable and moreish. On the nose we note cucumber and a brine character – reminiscent of a pleasant sea breeze. The wine itself is gently assertive with some delicious phenolics wrapped around a tight core of intense fruit. Across the palate it is full and yet still finishes with a flourish of pleasurable aromatics. To say this would be a match for Kai moana is an understatement – drink with freshly shucked Kiwa oysters or a slice of pan seared tuna especially anything with a Thai accent – we see lime and Asian spice lingering on the nose.
Sadly 2016 was a very small vintage and we have only 98 cases.

“Good drinking here. Curious; personality had me repeat attacking the glass. Sea spray, cucumber, orange marmalade scents. In the palate, more of that saline stuff going on, but settled into gentle nuttiness and a vein of baked apple fruit character. Darts and dashes in the mouth. Dry finish.
