riesling

late-harvest-rieslingRiesling always has the purity and elegance to entrance and refresh. Look for a little fruit sweetness in the front palate followed by some spicy notes (Easter buns and cinnamon) finishing with fresh tropical fruit.

Winemakers adore Riesling – it offers so many opportunities for expressing the qualities of individual sites. You can see this in the difference between
Brightwater (free draining alluvial soils) and Moutere (gravelly clays).

Drink Riesling before dinner (the lower alcohol is very attractive) or serve alongside fresh snapper, whitebait fritters or any dish where a squeeze of lemon is appropriate.

Notes on previous vintages are available under “notes and pics”
