- Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2010. "Power, elegance and complexity. Mouth-watering blend of chalk mineral characters apple, lemon and subtle bran and roasted nuts.96 points Five Stars"
- Australian Gourmet Traveller Wine, January 2012
- Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2010 . "What a wine! This has a wealth of complexity on the nose, and the kind of scintillating freshness that gets the mouth-watering instantly. There are ripe peach and nectarine fruits, hints of lemon citrus, honeysuckle and cedary oak and spice- nougat like.
The palate doesn’t disappoint with intensity and depth textural layering at its finest; flavours run through melon and stone fruits, grapefruit pith too. Length and drive are both impressive and acidity holds the line admirably through the finish.” Three hats 96/100
- Nick Stock, The Age Good Wine Guide.
- Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2010 “A flattering combination of power and elegance with impressive complexity. Appealing sweet fruit perfectly matched by fruity acidity.
A mouth-watering combination of chalky mineral flavours, apple, citrus/lemon and subtle roasted nut and bran biscuit characters that will inevitably become more assertive with bottle age.” 94/100

- Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2010. "Brilliant straw-yellow colour with lemon hues and a pale edge. The bouquet is very tight and concentrated with aromas of citrus fruits, mealy-nutty oak and minerals with a steely, flinty cut. Dry and tightly bound, this has concentrated flavours of citrus fruits and white stonefruits with nuances of melons, nuts, oak and minerals that unfold on the palate forming a complex amalgam. The wine has an underlying power and richness allied to elegance enhanced by crisp acidity, and the resulting textures are very fine. Restrained and youthful at present, the wine has considerable potential and should develop even greater expression and layers of flavour over the next 5-7+ years. I can’t help but think of a cross between a rich Meursault and a Corton-Charlemagne with its power and steeliness! Five Stars,19.0-/20"

- Neudorf Nelson Chardonnay 2010. “One of my favourite producers of all time in NZ. Some of the finest wines made in New Zealand come from Neudorf and this is stunning. Dry and sophisticated. Very classy and great value.”
- John Hawkesby RNZ.
- Neudorf Nelson Chardonnay 2010. "Brilliant, green-hued, straw-yellow with a pale edge, this is youthful in appearance. The bouquet is still tight, but shows real concentration and density, packed with layers of white stonefruits, mealy nutty elements and complex flinty reduction, and nutty oak, very much in a white burgundy style. A full, powerful and concentrated wine on palate, the complex flavour profile of stoneftuits, nuts and flintiness is balanced by subtle oaking. The wine shows sweetness and succulence, enhanced by lively acidity, which carries through to a sustained finish. This must be the most complex and powerful Neudorf Nelson Chardonnay to date. It has the potential to develop and reveal more over the next 4-5+ years. Match with rich poultry, pork and veal dishes. 18.5/20, Five Stars"

- Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2009
Chardonnay Strikes Back!
Super-stylin chardonnay at the crest of the new wave from New Zealand. Dazzling vibrancy and sea spray minerality arising from the coastal region of Nelson.
Scented aromatics of white gardenia, grapefruit and flint. Penetrating layers of pure lemon and bright nectarine with nutty nougatine complexity. Fine and graceful with racy mineral drive and enduring length. 95 points"

- Neudorf Nelson Chardonnay 2009. “A stunning Chardonnay which should now be considered one of New Zealand's great Chardonnays in its own right, not just a second wine of Neudorf's exceptional Moutere Chardonnay. The bouquet is ripe, complex and fragrant, displaying stonefruit, cream, vanilla and citrus characters. It's concentrated and expansive on the palate with velvety texture and beautifully integrated acidity leading to an impressively long, lush finish.”

- Neudorf Chardonnay Nelson 2009. 13.5% alcohol
N: Great varietal beginning, a wonderful complex prologue of gentle stone fruits, delicate nutty oak and a wonderful undertone and undercurrent of minerality.
P: A fabulous wine on the palate that delivers in every way, immediately complex with the most striking feature being the texture and inter- play between the acidity, oak and youthful fruity expression. The mineral and soil under currents continue, this wine is a keeper and will reward over the next 5 to 10 years. 5 stars.
- Cameron Douglas MS
- Neudorf Nelson Chardonnay 2009 “Bright light golden hued straw yellow in colour, this has an elegant, yet intense nose of citrus fruits, peach and mealy-nutty aromas with beautifully subtle backing oak. The palate is super-stylish, with full, rich and lusciously ripe grapefruit, nectarine and mealy flavours and nutty oak in complete integration and accord. The creamy mouthfeel and long sustained finish is a reflection of the impeccable winemaking. 19.0-/20

- "Neudorf Nelson Chardonnay 2008 - Fresh, ripe and tropically fruity on the nose with a citrusy edge and leesy scent, this is a classy, Puligny-style Kiwi Chardonnay from Tim and Judy Finn on the north-western side of South Island; long, rich, buttery, weighty and leesy, its ripe fruit concentration is ably abetted by subtle oak and trenchant, citrusy acidity. 90/100"
- Anthony Rose/Joanna Simon - The WineGang – www.thewinegang.com – June 2010
- "Sleek and Sexy -Neudorf Nelson Chardonnay 2008. Neudorf has built an enviable reputation for its Moutere Chardonnay a highly sophisticated and age worthy wine that thoroughly justifies its $55 price tag. This is the Moutere younger (and cheaper) brother but has the Neudorf trademark of elegance and subtle power. It's a great food wine that seems to get better with age."
- Bob Campbell MW - Air N Z Kia Ora Magazine
- Neudorf Nelson Chardonnay 2008 is a sleek, sexy and sophisticated wine with mineral, oak and delicate toasted-nut flavours beautifully interwoven and delivered with a taut yet silken texture. Serve it with oysters and the earth may move a little It makes the best examples look a little… pretty pedestrian.”

- "Neudorf Nelson Chardonnay 2008 - a savoury, nutty wine, slightly oily, or perhaps glycerolic in texture and a deep, creamed nut flavour with tropical fruit, pineapple, apricot and biscuit and a peachy character to the finish. A sensational wine already and makes you wonder just how good Neudorf's top tier 'Moutere' will be".
- Sue Courtney\'s wineoftheweek.com December 09

- Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2007 Nelson ” Lovely burgundian reduced nose (as opposed to a screwcap reduced nose!). Smoky. Quite different from most NZ Chardonnays. Really racy and confident. Well integrated and lovely already though there is sufficient density here to believe in some useful future evolution.17.”
- Jancis Robinson MW 2009
- 2006 Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay, NZ
Magnificently opulent chardonnay with the stylish pure fruit quality and complexity of a white Burgundy, but with the extra dimension of tropical fruit.
- Anthony Rose - Independent, April 2009
- "This medium bodied chardonnay over delivers on value for money with huge flavour concentration – its flavours defy description, erring in the stone fruit spectrum. Think nectarines, white peaches and the smell of rain on river stones…"
- Joelle Thompson, Mindfood, March 09
- "Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2007 : Pure, lemon citrus on nose. There is wonderful mouth-feel with really excellent depth and complexity of flavour. Ripe fruit; mainly pure citrussy lemon and mineral notes with really well integrated oak too. Lifted acidity on finish makes this a youthful wine that comes together beautifully."

- "The one Southern Hemisphere white I'd take to a desert Island would be Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay. No other wine has stacked up as consistently against the ultra-snazzy chardonnays of Puligny - Montrachet in Burgundy.
