- Neudorf Moutere Pinot Gris 2010 “Intensely flavoured wine with fresh pears, white peaches and a hint of cream plus a delicate seasoning of anise. Strongly varietal with a to-die-for texture and length finish, Succulent but well made in a medium dry style. 93/100”.5 stars
- Bob Campbell MW – Australian Gourmet Wine Traveller Sept 2011
- Neudorf Maggie's Block Pinot Gris 2010. Looking for a dry Pinot Gris? Invitingly scented with pure vibrant pear, lycee and spice flavours showing a slightly oily richness - this is one of the best dry Pinot Gris ever made in NZ. Five stars.

- Neudorf Moutere Pinot Gris 2010. "From their home vineyard in the Moutere Hills, this is sumptuous, divine and powerful, and perfectly poised at the same time, exhibiting glorious aromas of mango, white peach, pear and subtle vanilla. It's lush and richly textured on the palate showing outstanding depth of flavour and seamlessly integrated acidity. The wine is succulent with subtle sweetness (11.5 g/l) and finishes refreshing and exceptionally long. At its best: now to 2017. 5 stars, 94/100"

- Neudorf Maggie's Block Pinot Gris 2010 "From the Brightwater district, this is a beautifully refined Pinot Gris displaying delicate aromas of floral, pear and white peach. The palate shows excellent depth of flavour with silky texture and juicy acidity. It's luminous, pristine and meticulously expressed. Already irresistible but it will become more plush and sumptuous with further time in the bottle. At its best: now to 2015. 5 stars, 93/100"

- Neudorf Moutere NZ Pinot Gris 2010
Big, luscious wine that gives a nod in the direction of Alsace with its richness, weight and typical spiciness. It has a seductively mellow, silken texture and ripe tree fruit flavors that linger long after the wine has been swallowed. Stylish wine. 93/100, Five Stars.

"Another from the stable of Neudorf, they must be doing something right. This wine is more about fruit intensity than the Moutere, but is in no way less appealing. The grapefruit and lemon and lime sorbet spill from the glass.
The balance of the stone fruit and mealiness, texture and dry finish make ideal to be drunk as an aperitif, with shellfish, white fleshed fish, or even a digestif.

- Neudorf Moutere Pinot Gris 2010
"The ultimate in expression of New Zealand Pinot Gris, that belies even the most sought after wines from France. The aromatics have subtlety, the palate weighted perfectly, and the fruit is pure. Even though this wine could be confused for being French, it still retains a New Zealand quality.
The citrus backbone really shapes the wine, but it is the roundness that is really impressive. All of the boxes are ticked and it’s instantly appealing. Matched with white fleshed fish, it’s a match made in heaven.

- Neudorf Moutere Pinot Gris 2010. Five Stars
Brilliant, full, even straw-yellow in colour, this has a full, subtle, layered nose of ripe Nashi pears and yellow stonefruits unfolding complex smoky wild yeast nuances with a touch of oak. This is full-bodied at 13.5% alc. and off-dry at 11.5 g/L rs. The wine is softly textured and open in presentation, showing ripe stonefruit and spiced pear characters which are satisfyingly lush and succulent. There is breadth of flavour and the purity is a feature. The finish is carried by the sweetness a little, but this adds a feel of decadence. Drink with Middle Eastern and Asian cuisine that can be moderately spiced. This will keep 4-5+ years easily. 18.5+/20

- Neudorf ‘Maggie’s Block’ Nelson Pinot Gris 2010. Five Stars
Pale straw-yellow colour with a pale green hued edge, this has a bouquet of great purity and finesse of white stonefruits and minerals, very intense and with real depth. Dry on palate, this is a wine of beautiful delicacy, yet it is firm and intense. Flavours of white peaches and pears are nuanced with subtle spice and floral aromatic characters that add more than a hint of lusciousness. The textures are refined and provide great drive and length. Serve with seafood and subtly spiced Vietnamese, Thai or Japanese cuisine over the next 4-5+ years. 18.5/20

- Neudorf Maggies Block Pinot Gris 09 - “Pear and frangipani tart, honey and wax. Full and rounded with a lick of oak and minerality.”
- Peter McCombie’s Top NZ Pinot Gris (Decanter 2011)
- Neudorf Maggie's Block Pinot Gris 09. "Neudorf is one of the most admired producers of New Zealand Pinot Gris. This is a good example of a fine, vibrant wine in which oak played only a minor part. The resulting blend, 13.5% alcohol, is sensationally aromatic in a way reminiscent of some tropical flowers (heady lilies?) - more so than the average Alsace Pinot Gris - and yet has the same sort of meaty, savoury undertow as a fine example from Alsace. It is certainly a much more serious wine than most of those labelled Pinot Grigio. And its naturally high acidity, 5.9 g/l, keeps the wine really refreshing. The residual sugar level of 7.3 g/l is low enough to be barely perceptible. It just means that the wine is rich enough to go well with Thai spiced dishes - or to be drunk comfortably as an aperitif. It should retain its liveliness over the next three years."

- Neudorf Moutere Pinot Gris 2009 "Intensely fragrant with opulent nectarine-like fruit concentration in the Alsace mould, very juicy and with a refreshingly grapefruity twist on the aftertaste balancing this dry white beautifully. Would suit Asian curry. 90/100"
- Anthony Rose The Wine Gang UK
- Neudorf Maggie's Block Pinot Gris 2010. “Very pale. Aromatic. Meaty, savoury, reminiscent of a really good Alsace Pinot Gris. Off-dry start is very well balanced with polished texture and some tropical flower aromas. VGV. Very vibrant."
- Jancis Robinson MW
- Neudorf Moutere Pinot Gris 2009 "A beautifully balanced, harmonious wine, rich, mouthfilling and textural with hints of ripe pear and nuts in the background, and a dry, firm finish. It will develop over a year or so. Good value. Five stars"
- Charmian Smith, Otago Daily Times
- Maggie's Block Pinot Gris 2009. The wine is more about texture than taste with subtle mineral and toasty lees characters interwoven with pear. Back to the texture - it's a fine, tight and ethereal wine - burgundy-like with a hint of sweetness but refreshingly dry on the finish.
- Bob Campbell MW
- "This is possibly the finest Pinot Gris I've had in a long time, it's the Neudorf Moutere Pinot Gris. 2009. Neudorf is one of my favourite vineyards I have to say. Everything they do is sublime. This is one of the best ever. Not your usual big hint of pear. It has got a bit of pear in it, but its more subtle than that. Its got more flavours, nectarine and grapefruit, subtlety but not blandness, its got a touch oak and touch of sweetness about it, fulsome and lipsmacking. It's very refreshing, sublime outstanding Pinot Gris."
- John Hawkesbury, RNZ
- "A classy Nelson producer which can always be relied upon. A prestigue Pinot Gris, concentrated, seamless, lots of quince piw with hints of grapefruit and nectarine. Great texture."
- John Hawkesby NZ Herald.
- Neudorf Maggie’s Block Pinot Gris 2008 Nelson ” Good intensity of flavour and so much not jumping on the Pinot Gris bandwagon. Bravo! Off dry. Long. Juicy. What non-Alsace Pinot Gris should be. Very long. 16.5 ”
- Jancis Robinson MW 2009
- "The 2008 Neudorf Pinot Gris Maggies Block has a lovely aroma of baked apple, fresh pear and custard. The flavours are broad and silky, plenty of weight and richness with a savoury oatmeal finish. The alcohol is quite noticeable but although the label states that there is 4 grammes of residual sweetness, the wine tastes much drier and more balanced. And at $24.00 surely this is an absolute steal?"
- Jane Skilton MW
Independant Wine Monthly 2009
- "Pinot gris comes in for a hard time but only because many examples are made in a neutral, crowd pleasing style. The variety has intrinsic quality and just needs a careful winemaker to tease it out. It seems Tim Finn is just that sort of winemaker."
